The Club was founded in 1996 by Barry George, Sr.. Barry has since passed due to an auto accident  a few  years ago.. We all  appreciate his accomplishment in starting the Portage Cruisers.

Since the beginning, the Club has continued to grow.

Over the last 15 years the club has grown to over 100 members.

Some of the activities consists of a yearly scholarship offered to a student
furthering their education in the automotive field,
The club has named this scholarship
"The Barry George, Sr. Scholarship" in Barry's honor.

Another activity of the club is a monthly cruise-in at McDonalds, Rt. 53, in Portage.

The return of our annual "Light Up the Night Car Show-Cruise-in"
is aimed at the "younger or tuner car" motorheads and is held  the Friday of the Summerfest Car Show weekend, the second full weekend of August each year.
Our Summerfest Car Show boasts of being one of the best and largest in the area,
with around 300 or more participants.
The PACCC members help the Summerfest Commitee by having members work a booth at the St. Michaels Heritage Days.

The PACCC host the Cresson Heritage Days Car Show in October each year.

There are parties, picnics, and social gathering throughout the year.

Throughout the year there are fundraising events that raise money to support the club and the scholarship program..

The Portage Area Cruisers Car Club appreciate the help and support from all our sponsors, members, and car show participants.

We look forward to seeing you at our next show.

Thanks,
